So, what do you do with yourself when you're full term, ready to go and trying not to count the days...hmmmm
Have already established a close cooking relationship with Nigella (need to stop now as too many cookies are a bad thing - easy to hide in the bump), garden is looking cracking and house is pretty much as organised as it could be...
So here comes the weekend and i'm guessing the third curry of the week, several long walks, and some pineapple eating. Mr G is being amazing but i know he is desperately keen for Netti to arrive now - we both are.
Am off in search of blackberries to pick - a favourite for Mr G - then catching up with the girls a bit later on. Possibly time to squeeze in a quick round with Nigella ahead of Lis coming over later this afternoon for a sanity cup of tea...
At least the sun is out, always a good start to the day.
Time to think about all those things you'd do if you had time on your hands every day. I think the camera is coming out, the blog might become a bit more of a regular feature...
Well less time sat on the bum, more time on the feet...

a weekend of diy ahead

...back from 5 perfect days sailing (apart from one minor incident with a bucket on the first day) and wall to wall sunshine. Feeling freckly, full of tapas and in need of a trip to the gym to work off some euro-choc and baguettes.
Struggling to get a routine sorted at the moment - too much belly to do the treadmill and bad morning admin means I'm not getting into the gym pre work to do some miles on the bike. Has to change next week as am at boiling point, as my husband experienced first hand last night...hormone overload, sense of fatness, general feeling of faliling at usual routine efficiency...need an attitudinal realignment session over the weekend and a more positive approach to getting back in the gym.

Floorboards to sand, floors and walls to paint and furniture to move this weekend as otherwise husband can't do the first key job until start of June and that means we probably won't get round to it. Looking forward to some more sander rage, dust and Homebase visits, but I know the results will be worth it.
Need to look after husband as he is being amazing, and I am not.

24.6 weekis
No way of breathing in and hiding the belly now - not that I'd want to, its amazing.
Am loving having Rach, and now Nance too, to talk to - it will be so great to have time off together to share the madness.
Sailing this weekend in Spain - lets hope the weather is better than last year. Am looking forward to a break. Fingers crossed for the return of last year's dophins - can't beat it.

Am thinking of Dad - his birthday on Friday - am always thinking about him but will be hoping for blue skies and calm seas on May 1st - I know he's everywhere I am...
Theatre tonight to see Vix treading the boards. Subject matter a bit heavy (Alzheimers) but keen to see Vix the pro in action. http://www.tristanbatestheatre.co.uk/Production_Details_For_Once_I_Was.asp
Will be good to catch up with groom-to-be Ben too for the latest wedding installment.
Very jealous of the new Mr and Mrs Harkins on their way to balmy Bali...tough gig getting married.
Best invest in some decaff teabags, new reading material and some better sunnies tomorrow for the trip - key maritime necessities. Need to remember to water the garden too - newly turfed and looking brilliant, task is to keep it that way!

23 weeks....

...and getting bigger. Very exciting.
Back to Somerset tomorrow to see Mum, and bury Dad's ashes...I hope the sun shines...
Means its a short working week this week, which is always a welcome change. Tis the season of Bank Holidays - a time of joy for all and the return of the flip flop.
Need to find a dress for next weekend's wedding without breaking the bank - wish me luck...

I don't do winter blogging...but Spring is springing, its a sunny day, the G20 protestors are still trying their hardest to make a noise in East London, and its nearly the end of the week...
Lets see if I can add a bit more vaue to my blog in 2009 than over the last few months...hmmmm.
Off to the movies tonight so lets see if I can conjure up some sort of half-decent review tomorrow... www.theboatthatrocked.co.uk

My favourite food stuff of all time has to be pesto. It goes with pretty much anything - not just the regular pasta stuff, but i sneak it into sarnies, roast chicken, soups, salads, dip pitta into it... Its genius stuff. Not surprisingly lots of other people think so too, just looking at the blog links, there are enough pesto+ recipes out there to last a lifetime. Ideal if you ask me (apart from pure pesto based pizza, which might be lacking a little je ne sais quoi minus cheese and tomato....but never say never)
Half the office have opted for long on carbs lunches today...sports day followed by big night out last night for some - always a degree of smugness watching those with a hangover munch their way through chips and more chips...
Much jolity at the sports day outfits - 10 out of 10 for the office, as always, never let it be said anything is undertaken halfcooked around here.

Roll on the weekend. Supper tonight with the Wyatts, Somerset tomorrow again - fingers crossed its a good day, husband stuff on Sunday - perfect.
Only one run so far this week. have an appointment with my trainers later this afternoon, and again this weekend. Will report back on monday...

no escape - time to get focused on a half marathon schedule.
Enough time to get one done at Christmas. Maybe New Years Day.
